almost almost almost

the only thing i must now write is the conclusion of my concluding chapter. 8 chapters and almost 400 pages... i wrote my cv, the acknowledgement page, and the abstract... once this conclusion is written (and it should take me a day or two an hour or two), I WILL BE DONE! ok, then i have to do all the revisions, but hopefully that won't be too bad.


ALMOST DONE!!!

i wish the defense were tomorrow! still 42 days to wait....

Take a ten-day vacation and come back to add some final, fresh touch to your dissertation before it's due for your committee. Usually your committee will not require any revisions before your final deposit, so adding some final touch to your dissertation is good if you have time to do it. Being arrogant and lazy, I did not want to do those final touch things. Remember, therefore, my committee complimented, "well… a good example of world Englishes"? I was delighted for that comment at that time, but now I feel embarrassed. There are so many YOUist expressions, or ungrammatical expressions, in my GREAT work!
